Measurement applications
Observe low-voltage signals on compact electronic assemblies. Use a short ground connection and a suitable tip to reduce connection-induced artifacts. Account for the probe input resistance and capacitance when working with a sensitive node.
Connection schematic
DUT signal node → TAP4000 signal tip DUT reference ground → short probe ground connection TAP4000 output → supported powered oscilloscope interface
Illustrative application connection schematic. Follow the current manufacturer manual for input ratings, grounding and accessory installation. Maximum nondestructive voltage is a protection limit and does not extend the specified measurement range.
Setup and compatibility
Connect to a supported TekVPI input and confirm probe identification, scaling and offset control. Check accessory bandwidth and probe loading when evaluating fast edges or a high-impedance source.
