What’s special in Phú Nhuận: central, quieter and ten minutes from the airport
Phú Nhuận is the small district between District 1/3 and the airport that most visitors drive through on Nguyễn Văn Trỗi without noticing. Residents like it precisely for that: central, low-rise, well served, and ten minutes from Tân Sơn Nhất — the choice of managers who fly every week. Since 1 July 2025 it is three wards: Phú Nhuận (the Phan Xích Long / Phan Đăng Lưu centre), Cầu Kiệu (the southern half towards District 1 and the Nhiêu Lộc canal) and Đức Nhuận (the northern half towards the airport and Gò Vấp).

Character
Nguyễn Văn Trỗi and Hoàng Văn Thụ carry the airport traffic and the office towers (Centre Point, Sunny Tower); everything behind them is quiet grid — Phan Xích Long’s restaurant street with its Korean, Japanese and Vietnamese chains, Phan Đăng Lưu’s market and cafés, tree-lined Huỳnh Văn Bánh, the Nhiêu Lộc canal path on the southern edge and the Phú Nhuận stadium. Mixed Vietnamese middle-class and a scattering of long-term Japanese, Korean and French residents. The Kingston Residence, Orchard Garden, Golden Mansion, Botanica and Newton Residence towers cluster near the airport road.
Who lives here
Regional managers who commute by air (Hanoi on Monday, Singapore on Thursday), airline and logistics staff, Japanese engineers whose companies sit in the Etown / Cộng Hòa office cluster in Tân Bình, couples who want District 3 calm at a lower price, and Vietnamese professional families. Few children in international schools — the school buses collect on Nguyễn Văn Trỗi.

Food and after work
Phan Xích Long is the district’s dining street — Korean BBQ, Japanese ramen and sushi, hot-pot chains, bubble tea, cafés — busy until 23:00 and a natural place for a team dinner. Phan Đăng Lưu and Huỳnh Văn Bánh for local breakfasts and bún; the canal path for an evening run; District 1 rooftops 10 minutes away.
Engineer’s tip
Phú Nhuận is where you live if you fly out every week: Tân Sơn Nhất’s T2 (international) and T3 (domestic) are 10–15 minutes even at peak, and Phạm Văn Đồng gives a clean run to VSIP, Sóng Thần and Thủ Đức without crossing the centre. Many Japanese trading-house engineers who serve plants in Bình Dương and Đồng Nai base here. Our rental instruments can meet you here or go straight to the park gate; for the airport-side Etown offices of Bosch, DHL and Ericsson, see the Tân Bình page.
Risks
- Traffic: Nguyễn Văn Trỗi and Hoàng Văn Thụ are the airport arteries — 07:00–09:00 and 16:30–19:00 crawl; the Phú Nhuận crossroads (Phan Đăng Lưu / Hoàng Văn Thụ) is a known hotspot.
- Aircraft noise on the northern streets near the runway approach; check a unit at 06:00 and 22:00.
- Flooding is minor — Phan Xích Long and the canal-side lanes pond in storms.
- Older towers near the airport road can have parking shortages; confirm a car space if you keep a company car.
