Why FDI plants in Vietnam invest in tool control

  • Calibration. Torque tools and gauges in the cabinet are tagged, scheduled and calibrated through our loaner instruments; loaners keep the drawer full while the tool is out.

Implementation in a new plant

  1. Week 1: tool list from head office → local equivalents and part numbers; count per cell; decide the level per area.
  2. Weeks 2–6: storage and tools delivered from stock or ordered; foam inserts cut from your tool list; cabinets labelled in Vietnamese, English (and Japanese on request).
  3. Week 7: install, train shift leaders, hand over sign-out procedures and the calibration register.
  4. Ongoing: annual re-audit, replacement tools, calibration pick-ups.

Yes. We inventory the tools, produce a layout for approval and cut two-colour foam inserts sized to your existing drawers.

Is Level 5 automated tool control available and supported in Vietnam?

Yes. Snap-on Level 5 ATC boxes are configured to your tool list, installed on site and supported locally; network reporting can be integrated with your maintenance or quality systems.

Do you rent tool storage?
